{"id":4858,"date":"2012-01-10T10:25:32","date_gmt":"2012-01-10T17:25:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.crookedbough.com\/?p=4858"},"modified":"2012-01-10T10:25:32","modified_gmt":"2012-01-10T17:25:32","slug":"al-qaeda-financial-officer-arrested-in-training-site-in-iraq","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.crookedbough.com\/?p=4858","title":{"rendered":"Al Qaeda Financial Officer arrested in training site in Iraq"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Al Qaeda Financial Officer arrested in training site in Iraq<\/strong><br \/>\nJanuary 06, 2012- Alsumaria<\/p>\n<p>Kirkuk Police Command announced, on Thursday, that it arrested Al Qaeda\u2019s Financial Officer with a group of his assistants when they were training to attack southwestern regions in Kirkuk.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn an extensive security operation in Al Huwaija District, southwestern Kirkuk, a police force managed today to arrest the Financial Officer of Islamic State of Iraq (Dawlat Al Iraq <\/p>\n<p>Al Islamiya) with a group of his assistants when they were preparing attacks and raids over governmental buildings southwestern Kirkuk,\u201d Kirkuk Police Force Commander Brigadier General Jamal Taher Baker told Alsumarianews.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe arrest operation was based on accurate intelligence information and was carried out by a police force coordinating with division 12 of Iraqi Military,\u201d Baker added noting that investigations with detainees took place in a security station.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDetainees were training in Hamrin Mountains southwestern Kirkuk in preparation for a series of terrorist attacks in Huwaija and Kirkuk,\u201d Head of Kirkuk Police, General Sarhad Qader told Alsumaria news considering the arrest of Financial Officer of Islamic State of Iraq as a deathblow to the organization in Kirkuk.<\/p>\n<p>Kirkuk witnessed, on Thursday, the arrest of 5 Al Qaeda members for performing explosive attacks during an operation southwestern the province.<\/p>\n<p>Kirkuk Province, situated 250 km northern Baghdad, is one of Iraqi disputed areas which witnesses constant violence targeting security forces members as well as civilians.
