The Committee on the Rights of the Child expressed its concern \u201cat the considerable delay since 2002 in the adoption of the Child Rights\u201d and it called upon the state party \u2018to adopt, as a matter of urgency, the Child Rights\u201d and other laws concerning the family and civil society. However, no progress has been made to date in this area.<\/p>\n<p>Instead, there has been an increasing number of attacks reported on children, including torture, forced disappearances, beatings, psychological mistreatment, and attacks on schools.
