{"id":13824,"date":"2012-11-05T14:19:17","date_gmt":"2012-11-05T21:19:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.crookedbough.com\/?p=13824"},"modified":"2012-11-05T14:19:17","modified_gmt":"2012-11-05T21:19:17","slug":"saudi-arabia-confirms-2nd-case-of-sars-like-virus","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.crookedbough.com\/?p=13824","title":{"rendered":"Saudi Arabia confirms 2nd case of SARS-like virus"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Saudi Arabia confirms 2nd case of SARS-like virus<\/strong><br \/>\n5 November, 2012 &#8211;  Associated Press &#8211; The Daily Star<\/p>\n<p>RIYADH, Saudi Arabia: Saudi Arabia&#8217;s Health Ministry has confirmed that a second person in the kingdom has contracted a new respiratory virus related to SARS, bringing to three the number of those sickened by it in the Gulf region in recent weeks.<\/p>\n<p>The Ministry in a statement Monday said the unidentified patient was hospitalized with &#8220;pneumonia caused by the new virus known as novel Coronavirus.&#8221; It said the patient has since recovered from his pneumonia, adding that he had not traveled outside Riyadh.
