{"id":12593,"date":"2012-09-14T09:07:51","date_gmt":"2012-09-14T16:07:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.crookedbough.com\/?p=12593"},"modified":"2012-09-14T09:07:51","modified_gmt":"2012-09-14T16:07:51","slug":"bahrain-regime-blocks-un-human-rights-council-broadcast-even-as-regime-boasts-reform","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.crookedbough.com\/?p=12593","title":{"rendered":"Bahrain regime blocks UN Human Rights Council Broadcast even as regime boasts reform"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Bahrain: blocked UN website after Oral Intervention given by Prominent Human Rights Activist at the Human Rights Council<\/strong><br \/>\nSeptember 14th, 2012 &#8211; BYSHR<\/p>\n<p>The Bahrain Youth Society for Human Rights (BYSHR) expresses its deep concern regarding the blocking of the UN (http:\/\/webtv.un.org) Website after the oral intervention given by Mr.Mohammed Al-Maskati-President of the Bahrain Youth Society for Human Rights 0n 13 September 2012 at the Human Rights Council (Session 21) which was focused on reprisals.<\/p>\n<p>Dozens of Bahraini citizens have informed the BYSHR that they could not enter the Web Site of the UN after the intervention of Mr. Maskati at the Human Rights Council. ( Mr.Al-Maskati intervention: http:\/\/byshr.org\/?p=1168)<\/p>\n<p>This blocking means that the people of Bahrain will not be able to lively follow up the UPR discussion on Bahrain scheduled on 19 September 2012.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Al-Maskati intervention at the Human Rights Council dealt with reprisals against human rights defenders in Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia.
