Zelenodolsk Design Bureau was among the pioneers in the Russian shipbuilding industry who implemented the software/hardware virtual prototyping solution, and the first design bureau who did it on the basis of IC.IDO - virtual reality platform by ESI Group. The package was delivered and installed by PLM Ural. Ivan Kulagin, the company’s software implementation engineer briefed Mil.Press on the IC.IDO-based VR system. Designers demonstrated the system’s operation on a model of the Project 03620 Chaika passenger liner. These ships are being built by Zelenodolsk Shipyard.

International Far Eastern Maritime Show (IFEMS) held in Vladivostok, Russia, may not inherit the periodicity of the biennial International Maritime Defense Show (IMDS) staged in Saint Petersburg. The first IFEMS took place in 2018. Neither governmental documents, nor sponsors, nor official website, nor former participants confirm the show would happen again in 2020.
